This Christmas, Launceston Musical Society invites you to embrace your inner-elf in the TASMANIAN PREMIERE of Elf – The Musical.

Based on the cherished 2003 New Line Cinema hit, Elf – The Musical follows Buddy on his journey to find his father and discover his true identity. Faced with the harsh realities that his father is on the naughty list and his half-brother doesn't even believe in Santa, Buddy is determined to win over his new family and help New York remember the true meaning of Christmas.

Elf – The Musical features songs by Tony Award nominees, Matthew Sklar and Chad Beguelin (Disney's Aladdin on Broadway, The Wedding Singer), with a book by Tony Award winners, Thomas Meehan (Annie, The Producers, Hairspray) and Bob Martin (The Drowsy Chaperone) and promises to be fun for all the family!

A Relaxed Performance has been announced for Sunday 18th December. Click HERE for more information.

Produced by Launceston Musical Society alongside our Presentation Partner The Importer and Production Partner VJAM.

What is a Relaxed Performance?

A relaxed performance is designed for those with sensory needs and provides a comfortable environment for everyone, with elements of the production adapted to reduce anxiety and stress, including adjustments to lighting and sound levels to soften their impact. The ambience of the auditorium and theatre etiquette 'rules' will be relaxed, with everyone free to make noise and move around without restriction. Designated 'chill-out' areas outside the auditorium will provide soft seating and activities for those who need to take a break.

An Auslan interpreter will also be in attendance for those with hearing impairment.

The Musical Society would like to thank the following organisations for their generosity and support to make this event happen:

The Importer, Chris Reissig Builders, Up Loans, S Group, Kings Meadows Lions Club, Riverside Lions Club, W D Booth Trust, The Examiner and Theatre North.

Tickets are available from the Princess Theatre Box Office or by phoning 6331 0052.

Online ticket sales are not available for this performance.
